I went to Anassa's downtown location for a team dinner after work and to my surprise I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was my first time going to a Greek restaurant and because I tend to be a picky eater I was concerned there wasn't going to be many options for me to choose from especially since I don't eat seafood. But my manager who is very familiar with the menu and who's visited the Astoria location times before ordered a bunch of items that we shared..everything was good! - the lamb kebabs, Anassa chips, meatballs, saganaki. I had no complaints. The only thing I didn't like was my drink selection. But the service was good and the ambiance was nice - upscale but casual. It was an enjoyable night out.

Caught up with a friend, nice bright spot to do that! Surprisingly simple menu: steak pasta burger salad, that's about it. Great drink menu with quite a few options, a shame I didn't drink that day. They're really good at table service and keeping your water glass full, and their pasta is happily filling but not overdone. Not the best I've had but quite good. I wish I asked for more bread tho. Would go again surely!

Fancy fancy fancy. A good place to celebrate or have a team dinner. Food is not cheap, but it's very very good greek food. I really liked it. I don't really remember the service that much other than it was fine. I loved the space, it's very big, can accommodate big groups, and just had that classy nyc vibe that I really love.

Accommodating staff. Went in without reservation and got seated at the bar. Bar tender was attentive. Our food was good. I ordered the lamb kebab which was well made. My Lamb was very well seasoned, lamb usually has a smell which this one did not, and the lemon potato's were delicious. Portions are pretty large. We also got a complimentary bread and spread before our meal. Left the restaurant happy and full!

Not my first time here but time and time this spot. Love that it's 2 levels and has high ceilings. Food has always been solid pre-pandemic so I'm visiting to see if it's still as good as I remembered. It's a little sad many restaurants didn't survive the pandemic but many that did have lowered their quality from table settings, food, service, etc. from their pre-pandemic days - Glad that's not this spot. It was a relatively quiet for dinner the day before Thanksgiving day. The service was pretty friendly but could be a tad bit more attentive and check on tables a little more - Multiple tables had to flag down a waiter to order food and 2 tables (arrived after I did) even had someone get up to find a waiter to order. I had to wave the waiter closest to my table to order since who knows when someone would come back around to the area I was seated at.

I was here for a superday lunch, great time, great vibes and atmosphere for a semi-professional chat setting. They started with bread and hummus for apps, bread wasn't my favorite as it was a bit too hard for my liking, but the hummus and spreads here are really good, especially the Tzatziki platter appetizer. We got the pre-fix menu, a great price for app, main course, and small dessert. I got the Meatballs for app, lamb kebab and fries for entre, and babka for dessert. We also ordered the honey grilled Halloumi on the side, which I really enjoyed. Cheese with an orange zest and honey hit with a steak like texture was delicious, must get. Great cozy interior and vibes, good place to get introduced to Greek cuisine. Tip: Tzatziki here is honestly insane, my interviewer got the tzatziki platter to share and it's a must get imo (no picture included unfortunately). It comes with like a spicy spread, a classic tzatziki sauce, and an eggplant variation that's nicely creamy.
